FFNCC GRANTS & SCHOLARSHIPS FUND
FFNCC has established a grants and scholarships fund, The FFNCC Special Fund. The fund is open for applicants from the Washington Metropolitan Area who meet specific criteria set by FFNCC and noted below.
The application deadline is January 15 annually and awards are announced in April.​
Specific Criteria Applicable to FFNCC Special Fund:

The applicant should be a member of FFNCC and/or a resident of the FFNCC membership area, comprising the Washington, DC, Metropolitan Area, as defined by the U.S. Census, and the all of Maryland and Virginia. Applications from residents of Delaware, Pennsylvania and West Virginia will also be considered.

The application is supported by a letter from an FFNCC member.

Presentations, projects, and performances that promote Finnish and Finnish-American culture in the Washington Metropolitan Area are considered for awards.

Priority of awards is given to initiatives that focus on the Finnish language, research and educational studies relevant to Finnish and Finnish-American culture, with preference given to studies in Finland by U.S. students.

Applicants may be individuals or not-for-profit entities.

Donations may be made to the fund at any time and are greatly appreciated. Any contribution to the FFNCC Special Fund is tax free as FFNCC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
